1. Prior to set-up, visually inspect The Hitting Trainer for possible damage and/or excessive wear. Be sure to have any damaged or excessively worn part properly repaired/replaced before continued use.
3. Find an area on the chain-link fence which is:
Far enough away from fans and other players and
Is properly secured to vertical and horizontal posts at regular intervals
4. Set the U-foot of the Hitting Trainer into the chain-link fence with the prongs set horizontally across a joint connection in the fence.
For individual use, U-foot installation should roughly be chest high of the batter so that the ball will be hang about waist high.
If several batters, or the entire team, will be cycling through U-foot installation should roughly be at the average chest height of the various batters.
6. Finally attach the lower two cables in a similar way as the top but along the fence below The Hitting Trainer pole. These cables should not be pulled too tight, but enough so the U-foot remains engaged to the fence.
7. Before taking your first and each successive swing, be sure that there are no bystanders within your swing path so as to safely complete your swing without striking anyone.
8. Whenever you are done practicing, disassembly is simply the opposite of set-up.
